Virtual Assistant Skills and Entrepreneurship Curriculum Now Available in 4 Languages

We are excited to announce that the Virtual Assistant Skills and Entrepreneurship curriculum is now officially published and available in English, Estonian, German, and Croatian!

This comprehensive educational resource was developed as part of the FIGHT-DIGIT project — FIGHTing Youth Unemployment through Digital Skills and Interactive Education.

It is designed to support VET educators in preparing unemployed and NEET young people for the realities of remote work, freelance careers, and digital entrepreneurship.

What’s in the curriculum?

The curriculum is a 10-day intensive training program for VET educators, composed of 20 workshops structured across four chapters:

  • Foundations of Virtual Assistance and Entrepreneurship
Introduces the concept of virtual assistance, entrepreneurial mindset (using EntreComp), and essential digital collaboration skills.
  • Development and Operation of a Virtual Assistance Business
Equips learners to generate business ideas, conduct market research, build business models, and tackle legal/financial topics.
  • Growth, Innovation, and Sustainability
Focuses on scaling virtual assistant businesses, embedding sustainability and ethics, digital marketing, and long-term resilience.
  • Teambuilding and Reflection
Designed to open and close long-term trainings or residential courses with reflection and group-building exercises.

Each session includes detailed step-by-step instructions, interactive activities, and practical tools that can be used both in group trainings and standalone educational sessions.

Why this curriculum matters

In a time when the digital economy is reshaping the future of work, many traditional VET programs struggle to keep pace. This curriculum directly responds to the growing need for flexible, accessible, and future-oriented training — particularly for those most at risk of long-term unemployment.

By combining entrepreneurship, digital skills, and youth work methodology, the curriculum helps educators empower young people to thrive in the gig economy and develop sustainable self-employment paths.
